First haircut

Buggle,

You are just dripping with personality. You are the world's biggest crack up. You LOVE your siblings, you will sit in the car when they're gone, sigh and say...I love my brothers so much. Or your sister. You are happiest when they are home and playing with you. You love to sing, your favorites right now are So Happy Together, Baby Mine, and Wonderwall. You know most of the words to all of them.

We had your first parent teacher conference. You are just where you should be, you know your numbers and colors and are a great communicator. You stand up for yourself. You can routinely be heard in class telling kids to "walk away!" if they're doing something to you that they shouldn't be. You are very much not a morning person, and there was a comment about your choice in clothing not always being appropriate...I'm going to respectfully disagree with that being a problem. I'm all for you picking what you want to wear, so that won't be changing any time soon. You are very motherly and you LOVE to do art.

In other news, you got your first hair cut courtesy of Nana:

Yopu handled it like a rock star and didn't seem phased at all by the process. It's nice to finally be done with the baby mullet.

We went to a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins, you picked your "little baby pumpkin" and carried it everywhere with you. Daddy thought you might want to bring it to bed with you, but when he gave it to you you exclaimed "Pumpkins don't go in bed Daddy!". Always keeping us guessing.

Here are a few more shots of you from the past few weeks. I adore you sweet pea!

Video update

Here's a video of you with the snake, that you named Tata, in our yard. You took him on the trampoline (though we wouldn't let you bounce with him) and on the slide:

Here's one of you being graceful, as always:

And here's you being raised right...go Buffs!

Love you sweet pea!!

September update

Baby Doll,

I apologize for the delay in updating, life is busy as usual. We got through the wedding with flying colors, and you were absolutely perfect...all you kids were. You walked down the aisle with Noah and Emma walked with Caleb. You were a bit chatty during the ceremony, and since we were holding hands you were pretty convinced we needed to be swinging. You also pulled the flowers out of my hair as soon as I put you in reach "flowers don't go in hair Mommy!". You LOVED dancing with your sister, especially to Taylor Swift's 'Shake it Off'. You also downed a bottle of bubble juice at the reception, fortunately you spit most of it out. Then you passed out for the rest of the event. Overall, an AMAZING wedding.

We had a great honeymoon, but I hated leaving you behind. We chatted every day and you had a blast with your Aunt Teen and Gramma. You saw fountains, got ice cream, went to the park...you definitely were not dying to come home. You mostly liked showing your 'booty butt' when we called. Apparently you also had a mandate that Aunt Teen could not sing any song that Mommy usually sings. I missed you a lot.

Since then..you had your first dentist appt. I was worried about how it would go, but you handled it like a champ. You didn't love the moving chair, but other than that nothing bothered you. You especially loved the prize at the end (a glitter wand). You liked showing off your shiny teeth so that I would have to put my sunglasses on to look at them.

You are a total crack up. When you're around people you know, you love being the center of attention. You like to dance, and say anything you know to make people laugh. I especially like the potty dance, which I'll have to get a camera. You're afraid of odd things, like climbing the ladder on the playground. Snakes, however, don't phase you. The definitely are far more afraid of you than you are of them. You love Monsters Inc., and the book 'The Ugly Duckling'. You have a soft spot for anything that's missing it's Mommy, and generally assume that's why people are sad. You are very practical and have made me put back several splurge purchases for you saying "I don't need those Mommy, put them away!". We've talked about whether we should have a baby brother or sister for you..typically you respond you want fruit snacks. Occasionally we get to the point that we can discuss names, you think another baby should be named Sparkly. We probably won't take you up on that. Here are a few more of my favorite shots from this month, I adore you sweet pea!
