One happy mama

Baby bug,

I had my first Mother's Day, with you on the outside :), and it was fantastic. I'm still feeling so lucky to have gotten to be your Mom that I really don't need much else at this point.

Here's my sappy letter to you. Anyone other than Kaia can feel free to skip this part and go directly to the pictures.

Kaia Doll,

I hate that everything I want to say to you is so cliche, because it feels so profoundly new to me. You fill this place in my heart that has just been waiting  for you my entire life. There is nothing I'd rather do than hang out with you, and when you go to sleep, even when I'm exhausted, I am most excited for you to wake up so we can play some more.

I know we're going to fight some day (you are a Watson afterall), and I hope that you can try to remember that anything I'm fighting you in is something that I truly believe is in your best interest. You're going to make some choices that are going to lead to hurt and pain, and those are important things to go through, but I'm going to hate watching that more than anything. So please try to remember, that when you are really mad at me because of my stance on something, that I am truly motivated by my love for you (even if I'm wrong).

Most importantly baby doll, know that there is not a thing in this world that you could do that would change the way I love you. I am unconditionally on your side, even when you're wrong, so you should never feel like you're fighting a battle alone. I will forever and always be in your corner.

I adore you sweet pea,

Your Mom

Alright, and now back to the updates. You are one little terrorist.

You are constantly on the move and into everything you can reach. You are very aware of what your toys are and do your best to avoid them. You'd much prefer to play with trash, diaper wipes, and leftover plastic eggs from Easter. You've recently learned to splash, and are quite thrilled about doing it at all times. We've been letting you have baths in the big bath, and you make a point of herding your brothers into a corner so that you can have full reign over the rest of the tub. You have a thing for the letter "i" in the bathtub, which seems to be the only letter that makes its way into your mouth. You seem to be extremely comfortable in water.r

You are convinced that you can stand up, and have no qualms with attempting it in any and all settings (a favorite being the bath tub). You're working on walking, but haven't quite mastered the mechanics of it. You sort of maneuver like a tiny Frankenstein at this point.

You have a very sweet relationship with your brothers. Noah loves to play with you and make you laugh, which you do at the first sight of him. He recently went to CA to visit your Nana and requested that he get to bring you with him. He also likes to translate your baby talk (which is sounding oddly German at the moment). According to Noah you like to talk about how much you love your brothers. Caleb is less interested in playing with you, but does love to cuddle with you. He's also much more likely to give you a good smooch good night.

You are petrified of animals, they don't make you cry, but they do seem to make you squawk.  We're working on getting you used to them, but so far they seem to just terrify you.

That's about if for the updates, here are a few other pictures from the past month or so. We've got a busy May ahead of us, your brothers turn 5 in a few days and we're heading to TN for a wedding at the end of the month. I love you sweet pea!!
