September update

Baby Doll,

I apologize for the delay in updating, life is busy as usual. We got through the wedding with flying colors, and you were absolutely perfect...all you kids were. You walked down the aisle with Noah and Emma walked with Caleb. You were a bit chatty during the ceremony, and since we were holding hands you were pretty convinced we needed to be swinging. You also pulled the flowers out of my hair as soon as I put you in reach "flowers don't go in hair Mommy!". You LOVED dancing with your sister, especially to Taylor Swift's 'Shake it Off'. You also downed a bottle of bubble juice at the reception, fortunately you spit most of it out. Then you passed out for the rest of the event. Overall, an AMAZING wedding.

We had a great honeymoon, but I hated leaving you behind. We chatted every day and you had a blast with your Aunt Teen and Gramma. You saw fountains, got ice cream, went to the park...you definitely were not dying to come home. You mostly liked showing your 'booty butt' when we called. Apparently you also had a mandate that Aunt Teen could not sing any song that Mommy usually sings. I missed you a lot.

Since then..you had your first dentist appt. I was worried about how it would go, but you handled it like a champ. You didn't love the moving chair, but other than that nothing bothered you. You especially loved the prize at the end (a glitter wand). You liked showing off your shiny teeth so that I would have to put my sunglasses on to look at them.

You are a total crack up. When you're around people you know, you love being the center of attention. You like to dance, and say anything you know to make people laugh. I especially like the potty dance, which I'll have to get a camera. You're afraid of odd things, like climbing the ladder on the playground. Snakes, however, don't phase you. The definitely are far more afraid of you than you are of them. You love Monsters Inc., and the book 'The Ugly Duckling'. You have a soft spot for anything that's missing it's Mommy, and generally assume that's why people are sad. You are very practical and have made me put back several splurge purchases for you saying "I don't need those Mommy, put them away!". We've talked about whether we should have a baby brother or sister for you..typically you respond you want fruit snacks. Occasionally we get to the point that we can discuss names, you think another baby should be named Sparkly. We probably won't take you up on that. Here are a few more of my favorite shots from this month, I adore you sweet pea!

Quick update

I know I've gone dark mostly this summer, wedding planning has taken up any free time that I'm not spending with you. I'll keep this one short and sweet, just wanted to update.

You continue to be a total crack up. You love to run, usually in circles, but you'll go far longer than I would expect your little legs to carry you. You are learning spanish with Pim in the car, you like hasta pronto best. You love Sofia the First and Yo Gabba Gabba. Your favorite food at the moment is tomatoes, closely followed by blueberries..you shovel both in your mouth as fast as you can move. We're working on potty training, but we're not there yet. You LOVE your doll house, and your babies.

Here are a few good videos of you being a maniac:

you smuggled a marker in the car - you drew a "butterfly"

your first movie in a theater on my bday - we saw Minions, you loved it. You sat down, saw the screen and exclaimed "WHOA!"

Your breakfast in bed after you ate half of mine served for my bday.
I adore you little girl!

July catch up

Little bug,

Sorry for the lack of posts. Between planning the wedding and a total lack of slow down at work I haven't had a whole lot of time to keep up. Don't you worry though, there has been no lack of pictures.

To start...you are sill a total crack up. You love to sing/dance and take care of your babies. You eat like a champ, though some of your favorites worry me (oranges dipped in beer are always a hit). You love to "dip dip" anything you can and can power through a water melon like a maniac. You are exceptionally stubborn, and don't handle getting upset very well. Last week you held your breath until you passed out. I'm hoping it's a one time thing.

So here's my catch up...

Fourth of July - You were awake this year for the festivities which has never happened. We went to the Outlaws game at Mile High with Aunt Teen and Tyler. You were extremely nervous about them at first, but warmed up as they kept going. You liked the fountains best, but overall your assessment was that they were "too loud".

The other big missing piece is our NY trip. We went on a trip to the East Coast .We went to DC first and saw where Daddy grew up:

The next day we drove to NYC and went to Central Park:

We spent most of our day there, grabbed a quick dinner and swung by Times Square. Times Square had a zillion characters in costume. You were beside yourself when you saw Elmo, Mickey Mouse, "Happy" the minion, Mario & Luigi. You giggled manically when you saw them wandering around. After that we headed back to the hotel. We all shared one room and you were a disaster to try and get to bed. Eventually you all did fall asleep.

The next day we took the Subway to Battery Park and went to the Statue of Liberty, or as you liked to call it "the castle of little me".  You slept the entire way there despite the exceptionally loud subway train in the background. We waited in a line and we took a boat out there and got to climb up to the Pedestal. You weren't a huge fan, but did like discussing what she was wearing "a dress and hat" and the book she was carrying. We also went to the WTC memorial and the top of One World Trade Center. We also swung by the Nintendo Store which the boys were obsessed with, but you were pretty amused as well .

That was the end of NYC, the next day we got in the car and headed up to Connecticut. On the way we stopped at Grandpa Yay Yay (Larry)'s old house in Brooklyn and played on a playground around the corner.

Connecticut was great, we never got back in the car and instead took Richard's boat everywhere we went. We went to restaurants, ice cream, and did a lot of exploring the islands around the sound. You loved throwing stick and rocks in the water, and always fell asleep when we got the boat going. You also got to see a shark and a lobster, which you "didn't love".

Overall it was a fantastic trip. Some day I will get the pictures off of Daddy's phone and I can beef up the pictures, but for now this will do it. I adore you sweet pea, I can't get enough of you.
