Three quarters of a year

Baby bug,

I cannot believe how huge you've gotten, here's where we started:

And now:

You've dwarfed poor Raggedy Anne. You've got to be in the 18lbs range, which is at least helping me to keep some arm strength. You're still not quite crawling (see the you tube videos for the latest), so you're just beefing up. You are moving somehow, but it's very subtle so we can't really tell how you're doing it, you just end up in a different place than you started. We have yet to feed you anything you don't love. You even gave Pea Baby a whole new meaning:

Your current favorite hobbies include eating everything you can find, knocking over anything within reach (with a specialty in ice cold drinks), and watching your brothers play. You also like taking things from your Mommy and Daddy, doesn't really matter what it is, as long as we seem intent on having it you are thrilled with the idea of taking it.  You babble a lot, and LOVE to dance:

You're still toothless, but we think you're getting one soon. You may not like it now, but it opens up a whole new world of food possibilities which I think you will love.

It's tax season, so I don't get to see you nearly as much as I'd like, but you've been helping me in your spare time.

I think that's about it for now, tax season has me fried so I will owe you some better updates in the future. I adore you little bug!

Lucky Bug

Hey sweet pea,

Not a lot of time for this one, just gotta throw the St. Patty's day shot out there for your future reference.

We went and watched some Irish Dancers for a little bit and then headed to the Nuggets game where you proceeded to eat Daddy's hat:

Love you lots little bug!

Bye bye love

Baby bug,

Today was a sad day. I am currently enroute  to Anchorage, and you....are not. It's a short work trip, and despite my best efforts, I couldn't find a way to bring you with. There have been a lot of tears shed (all on my part), but you seem happy so I suppose I should get over it. I have an audio clip I took of you babbling last night, I've listened to it about 10 times so far. Here's the clip for those that are curious, these are just your rambling 2am musings...

It makes me smile. I also got to FaceTime with you, you hung up on me :).

You're having lots of fun with grandma, her and Aunt T took time off of work to hang out with you (you are one lucky baby). I brought your teddy bear with me, it smells like you.  Tomorrow will be the first day in your life that I don't get to see you. I hate that. But I think you'll be ok, and I know you're being well taken care of. I miss you a ton sweet pea. I love you.

As the days passed we talked lots...

You had so much fun and you chatted with me every chance I got. You went on walks and took steam showers, and played all day with Grandma and Aunt T, you were one happy and well taken care of baby.

When I got you back you grinned and reached out for me. I was just glad you didn't forget me :).

While I was gone you learned to wave (though you only do it backwards and only to yourself in the mirror). You also learned to dance which you showed me while I was working.

We're in the heart of tax season, so I don't get to spend much quality time with you, though you hang out with me when I work. You're still not crawling, though you babble like crazy. You're also really good at picking little things up and you are an amazing eater. A new favorite is cous cous.

You're such a sweet heart, truly I have never heard of a baby as sweet an easy going as you. I adore you sweet pea!
